Corporate films and photography

Planning a corporate film? We plan film and photos together, so one shoot day delivers material for your website, social media, job adverts and print.

Videos get shot on the side with a phone, or an expensive film is produced that then only sits on the home page. Formats for social media are missing, and the photos come from a stock library.

We plan film and photo together: one shoot day yields a corporate film, short videos and photos for website, social media and print. One contact, one shooting schedule, clearly defined rounds of revisions.

What makes a good corporate film and good company photos

Corporate film or commercial: the differences

The terms are often mixed up, but they mean different things. A corporate film shows who you are: your people, how you work and what you stand for. It runs on your website, in presentations and at trade fairs, and usually stays in use for several years. A commercial, by contrast, has a specific goal, such as making a product known or promoting a campaign, and is often much shorter. A recruiting video is aimed at applicants and shows everyday working life as honestly as possible. Before we shoot, we therefore clarify two questions: who should see the film, and what should that person do afterwards?

What determines the cost of a corporate film

On the market, prices for corporate films range from a few thousand to several tens of thousands of euros. The difference lies mainly in the number of shoot days and locations, the size of the crew, voice-over artists, actors, animation and licensed music. With us, a corporate film starts at €4,900 net plus VAT, including concept, one shoot day and editing. When comparing quotes, check whether usage rights, music licences and versions for social media are included.

Recruiting videos and staff photos

For applicants, what matters most is how the work feels: who are the colleagues, and what does a normal day look like? In recruiting videos we therefore let employees speak for themselves, because honest footage is more credible than perfectly staged scenes. The same applies to business portraits and staff photos. Consistent lighting and a matching background make the team recognisable on the website without looking stiff. The legal side is important. Anyone who can be identified must consent to publication, and for employees this is best done in writing. Also agree in advance what happens to photos and films when someone leaves the company.

Drone footage: what is allowed

Aerial footage shows sites, buildings or construction sites from a perspective that is impossible from the ground. Commercial drone flights in the EU are subject to clear rules: the pilot needs an appropriate certificate of competency, and the operator must be registered and insured. Restrictions apply near airports, over residential properties and crowds, and in nature reserves. In some cases a permit is required. We work with licensed drone pilots, clarify flight permission before the shoot day and plan aerial footage into the regular shoot from the start.

Product photos that sell

In online shops and catalogues, product photos often decide whether people buy. Two types are usually needed: cut-outs, that is images without a background, for the shop and data sheets, and lifestyle shots that show the product in use. For both, we plan a shot list in advance with formats, views and details, so that nothing is missing at the end. We photograph small products in the studio, and machines and equipment on site at your premises. With us, a half-day photo shoot starts at €890 net plus VAT, including editing and usage rights. If there is a film shoot anyway, the photos are taken on the same day and in the same visual style as the film.

Frequently asked questions about corporate films, commercials and photo shoots

What does a corporate film cost?

That depends on shoot days, locations and post-production. After the initial consultation you receive a fixed-price quote. We plan so that half a shoot day is enough when the budget is tight.

How many shoot days does a corporate film need?

Usually one to three days, depending on locations and people.

Can we use existing footage?

Yes. We review your existing material and combine it seamlessly with new footage.

Who provides voice-over and music?

We select voice-over artists together with you. Music comes from a licensed library or, for larger productions, is composed by partners.

What prices should I expect for film and photo?

A corporate film starts at €4,900 net plus VAT, including concept, script, one shoot day with a crew and editing. Short videos for social media start at €1,600, and a half-day photo shoot at €890. The final price depends on shoot days, locations and post-production. After the free initial consultation you receive a fixed-price quote that lists every service individually.

How long should a corporate film be?

For a website, one to two minutes has proven effective. That is long enough to show your people, services and values, and short enough for most viewers to watch to the end. For social media we also cut short versions of 15 to 60 seconds in portrait format. Longer films are mainly worthwhile for trade fairs, training or documentaries, where the audience chooses to watch.

How long does producing a corporate film take?

From the initial consultation to the finished film usually takes four to eight weeks. Much of that time goes into concept and preparation. The shoot itself normally takes one to three days. Editing, colour grading and sound follow, with an agreed number of rounds of revisions. If there is a fixed date, such as a trade fair or a company anniversary, we plan backwards from it.

Who owns the usage rights to film and photos?

You receive usage rights for the agreed purposes, such as website, social media, presentations and print. For photo shoots they are included in the price; for films the scope is stated in the fixed-price quote. Paid advertising on TV or in cinemas may require additional licences for music and voice-over. We clarify this before the shoot so no costs come as a surprise later.

Is this eligible for funding?

For projects in film and photo, there are currently 5 matching funding programmes, 1 of them Germany-wide plus state programmes in 3 federal states. Whether it fits you depends on your federal state, company size and project – and almost always: apply first, order second.
