Marketing and digitalisation for manufacturing and mechanical engineering
Marketing for manufacturers and mechanical engineering companies is aimed at buyers, engineers and managing directors who check carefully before they decide. We make products that need explaining understandable and digitalise the path from enquiry to order.
The technology is excellent, the presentation is not. The website lists machines without their benefits, data sheets are scattered as PDFs, and the English version is out of date. Sales spends days on quotes that consist largely of copies. There is an expensive stand at the trade fair, but nobody records the contacts systematically. And production is short of machinists, electronics technicians and design engineers.
We translate technology into benefits without watering it down: What problem does your system solve, for whom, with what result? From this we create website, product film and trade fair presence in one consistent design. In parallel, we automate quotes and order processing with a connection to your ERP, so that sales has time for customers. And we show applicants why it is worth working for you.
B2B marketing for manufacturers: our services
B2B website
Product pages with applications, technical data and contacts, a product finder, downloadable data sheets and a well-maintained English version. Built for long decisions involving several departments.
Learn moreProduct film
What takes three pages in a brochure, a film shows in ninety seconds. We film in your production, at the user's site or with a drone over the factory grounds, and show details in close-up.
Learn moreTrade fair presence
Stand, graphics, banners and on-screen film in one consistent design, produced with partners we work with regularly. Plus invitations before the fair and digital contact capture that passes conversations straight to sales.
Learn moreRecruiting for production
A careers page that addresses skilled workers, apprentices and engineers separately, with images from your own production hall. Plus targeted ads within commuting distance and applying in two minutes.
Learn moreAutomating quotes
Quotes from configuration, master data and standard text blocks, in minutes instead of days. Enquiries are pre-sorted with AI, missing details are requested automatically, and all data reaches the ERP without being typed up.
Learn moreService app and customer portal
Spare parts ordering, maintenance logs, documentation and fault reporting for your customers, as an app or portal. This turns a one-off machine sale into an ongoing customer relationship with predictable service business and regular contact.

Who really decides in B2B
An investment in a machine or component is rarely decided by one person alone. Engineering, purchasing, management and often maintenance are involved, each group with different questions. The engineer wants tolerances and interfaces, purchasing wants delivery time and total cost, management wants payback and reliability. A B2B website must serve these levels: at the top the benefit in one sentence, below that technical data, application examples and data sheets. Because decisions drag on for months, prospects need reasons to come back: expert articles, webinars, a newsletter with real news.
Trade fairs: the value is created before and after
For many medium-sized companies, a trade fair stand is the largest single item in the marketing budget. The real return, however, is not created at the stand but before and after. Beforehand, existing and target customers are specifically invited, meetings are arranged and the new product is announced on the website and LinkedIn. At the stand, conversations are recorded digitally, with interest, project and next step, instead of collecting business cards in a bowl. Afterwards, follow-up happens within a week, with the right data sheet or film. Once this process is set up properly, it can be reused for every further trade fair.
Automating quote processes
In many manufacturing companies a quote takes days, even though it consists largely of standard items. That costs orders, because whoever delivers a reliable quote first has a head start. Automation starts with the enquiry: an AI reads emails and attachments, identifies product, quantity and date, and requests missing details. A configurator or rule-based calculation creates the draft from master data, and sales checks and approves it. After the order, the data flows into the ERP, work preparation and order confirmation without being typed up. Approval always stays with a person.
Reaching skilled workers for production
Machinists, industrial electronics technicians or design engineers rarely read job boards. They are usually employed and only move if an offer is noticeably better and they hear about it. What works: targeted social media ads within commuting distance, honest videos from the production hall with your own colleagues, and applying without a cover letter. The careers page should state the shift model, machinery, salary range and further training concretely. For apprentices, school partnerships, internships and open days announced beforehand on social media work well.
Questions from manufacturers and mechanical engineering companies
How much does a B2B website for a manufacturer cost?
At Trendtreiber, a B2B website with product section, careers pages and content management system usually costs between €12,000 and €35,000, depending on the number of products, languages and interfaces. A corporate film starts at €4,900, trade fair and outdoor advertising at €1,800. All prices are guide prices, net, plus VAT. We calculate the automation of quotes after looking at your processes. After the free initial consultation you receive a fixed-price quote.
Is LinkedIn worthwhile for mechanical engineering companies?
Yes, for many mechanical engineering companies LinkedIn is the most important social channel, because engineers, buyers and managing directors spend time there. Posts from practice work well: new applications, insights into production, trade fair news and the expertise of your own specialists. Personal profiles of management and sales often reach more people than the company page. We develop an editorial calendar for this and produce suitable photos and short videos.
Can quotes in mechanical engineering be automated?
Yes, at least large parts of them. Even for special-purpose machines, quotes usually consist of recurring assemblies, standard texts and calculation rules. These can be mapped in a configurator or a rule-based template, so that sales only handles the special features. We start with an analysis of the quotes from recent months, find the repetitions and automate the most frequent cases first.
Does a manufacturer need an English website?
In most cases yes, as soon as you export, have international partners or are looking for skilled workers from abroad. An English version is more than a translation: technical terms, standards and units must suit the target group, and the pages need their own search terms so that they are found internationally. It is important that both languages stay equally up to date. The content management system should therefore manage translations cleanly side by side.
Do you work with our existing IT and our ERP?
Yes, we build on what you have. Whether ERP, product database or customer management: we check the interfaces and connect website, configurator and automations to them instead of replacing your systems. Where new data is stored, it is kept on servers in Germany with backups in two locations. We coordinate directly with your IT department or IT service provider so that responsibilities remain clear.
